Musik & Kulturen – vivre ensemble stands for encounter, exchange, and shared experiences through music. Our association, based in Zurich, brings together people of diverse backgrounds, generations, and life circumstances – both on and off the stage.

We believe that music connects where words often fall short. Through our concerts, readings, and cultural formats, we create spaces where diversity becomes tangible and mutual understanding can grow. Our goal is not merely to make cultural diversity visible, but to live it actively – in the spirit of a true vivre ensemble.

We place a particular focus on inclusion and cultural diversity, drawing on the rich heritage of migration cultures in Switzerland. We promote and integrate expressions from Roma, Sinti, Jenische, and Jewish cultures, as well as contributions from people with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. At the same time, we engage with topics of collective memory and explore their historical contexts.

Our projects connect professional artists with engaged individuals from communities across Switzerland. Here, artistic excellence and active participation stand side by side on equal footing.

As a non-profit association, we operate without a profit motive. Our activities are made possible through dedication, partnerships, and support from funding bodies.
